Condition

There are losses and wear to the enamelling and gilding throughout. The piece has a restored break on the stem which has also led to parting of the two halves of the metal up until the top. An area around the break was reconstructed in lead. Two rivets, one at the top of the crozier and on behind the upper petal of the central flower are slightly out of place. A metal rod was inserted into the underside for mounting. The fabric on the base has overall wear and dirt.
