  • partially polychromed limewood, in a gilt and polychromed frame

inscribed in blue ink: saho 0/63 and stamped: No 92 to the reverse of the frame

Condition

There is overall wear and some dirt to the surface consistent with age. The polychromy of the figure is largely lost. There is minor worming in several places consistent with material. The figure was remounted recently. There are several areas of restoration including a glued split that runs from the proper right shoulder down to his left foot, the cape between the saint's proper right arm and body and to his left, the proper left knee and the proper left hip. There are three inserts to the base and the sword is a replacement. Otherwise the condition of the relief is stable. The joints of the frame are loose. The paint of the frame is worn throughout.
