Condition

Overall the condition of the alabaster is good. There is wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age with wear to the polychromy throughout. There are a few naturally occurring stable hairline fissure to the edges of the relief including one running from the proper right shoulder to the proper right knee which was partially filled. The head was reattached. There are several losses including to nose of the top figure's head, both crowns, the proper right under arm, proper left foot and the edges of the drapery. There are also losses to the saint's forearms and hands. There is overall wear to the painting of the mount and gilding on the canopy. There are a few chips to the scrolls on the canopy.
