Condition
STRUCTURE
The canvas has a firm lining.
PAINT SURFACE
The painting appears to be in good condition and has been cleaned.
ULTRAVIOLET
Examination under ultraviolet light reveals scattered infilling to craquelure in the sky, in the upper section of the picture. There is a slightly discoloured varnish in the lower section of the canvas but otherwise the picture would appear to be in good condition.
FRAME
Held in a gilded wooden frame.
