Condition
The canvas has an old relining.
The paint surface is secure and under a dirty old varnish.
Scattered retouching work is visible to the naked eye in the darks of the background and this is confirmed under UV light which also reveals scattered other minor retouchings but the still life details are largely untouched and well preserved.
Offered in a gilt wood and plaster frame with ornate moldings in fair condition.
