Condition

The canvas has a wax lining. Around the perimeter of the canvas are numerous old restored damges, some of which are small tears. There is a large area of restorations in the centre left background to the left of and above the butterfuly, and a further square shaped restored damage immediately above (circa 3 by 3 cm). The fruit itself has largely escaped damage and subsequent restoration, although there are some retouchings to the foliage and branches. The painting has been restored well and recently cleaned and is ready to hang. Offered in a plain black frame, in good condition.
