- Two roman landscapes with figures beside a river, a waterfall beyond
- a pair, both oil on canvas
Condition
Both canvases have old but effective relinings. The paint surfaces are stable and appear to the naked eye to be in good condition under a slightly discoloured and glossy varnish. The fomer painting has suffered some frame abrasion lower left and both have some very small losses lower right. Inspection under UV light is inconclusive due to the uneven reflective varnish but little restorative intervention appears to be present. Both offered in carved wooden frames in good condition.
