Each canvas has a wax lining which is stable. The paint surface of each is quite well preserved although the following can be said of each: Illustrated above: there are two restored holes in the upper right background, a restored tear upper centre and two further restored holes to the background to the right of the reclining figure. Much of the background has been lightly strengthened and there are some fairly recent retouchings to the figures. Illustrated centre: There is a restored diagonal tear at the extreme centre right and a few restored damages to the background above the left most putto. There is some retouching to the arm and chest of the reclining figure and generally some restrengthening throughout the background. Illustrated below: There are two restored damages in the upper right background and further restored damages in lower right and upper left corners. There is some restoration to the birdcage and to the arm and leg of the seated figure and some light strengthening to the background in general. Each sold with a plain, modern, wood frame.
