PAINT SURFACE Both paintings appear to be in very good condition. There is no apparent damage or paint loss in either painting. ULTRAVIOLET In the former examination under ultraviolet light reveals a small amount of retouching in to the upper right edge, to frame abrasion, as well as a very small amount of scattered minor retouching in the sky and to the lower foreground. In the latter there is some strengthening to the upper section of the building on the right, and a very small number of minor flecks of retouching in the lower section of the painting.
