Condition
The canvas has an old relining which is stable. There are a few small losses to the background and along the lower margin along with several restored damages also along each margin. There are three major areas of restoration, one in the upper centre background, one behind the girl's right shoulder and the other on and around her nose and cheek. The right profile has been slightly strengthened and there are further retouchings to her left wrist and hand. The varnish is dirty, deceased and should be replaced.
