Condition

The canvas has been relined. The paint surface is secure and in good condition under a dirty varnish. There is an old vertical damage approx 20 cm long in the bottom right corner about 3 cm in from the right hand margin. Inspection under UV light reveals 12 further scattered restored damages, scarcely detectable by the naked eye, the largest of which is 4 cm squared in the lower left hand corner. Further retouching work is evident in the background. Offered in a gilt wood frame in fair condition with some minor losses.
