Condition

The support consists of two joined vertical panels which are stable. The paint surface is secure and dirty, under a discoloured varnish. The paint surface is abraded and the underdrawing is clearly visible in several areas. Retouchings can be made with UV light along the vertical panel join along the centre of the panel, as well as in patches lower left and lower right and above the Christ's left shoulder. The Virgin's fingers have been repainted. Strengthenings are present in the outlines, for example in the nose, hair, and eyes of the Virgin, as well as other scattered retouchings. Offered in a later wood frame with minor losses.
