Condition
The actual paintings show more detail than the catalogue illustrations suggest.
Both canvasses have a recent relining. In both paintings, the paint surface is secure, but have become flattened, due to the relining. Both paintings are under a fairly clear layer of varnish. In both paintings retouchings can be observed in the sky, as well as strengthening in the background and background figures. Inspection under UV reveals a few additional scattered retouchings in both works, but both still lifes appear fairly intact.
Offered in plain light wood frames with moulded fillets in good condition.
