Description

  • Il Parnaso

Condition

The painting is slightly redder in tone than the catalogue illustration suggests. The tight relining of the canvas has not flattened the paint surface which is still vibrant and secure. A vertical line along the centre of the canvas probably corresponds to a fold in the original canvas. Inspection under UV light reveals very minor scattered retouchings and confirms the good condition of the painting. Offered in an elaborate carved and gilt wood frame in good condition.
