L'esame alla lampada di Wood evidenzia un leggero strato di vernice debolmente fluorescente distribuita disomogeneamente sulla superficie, un ritocco puntiforme sul piede e altri tre sulla sinistra del narghilè, un altro sullo sfondo a sinistra del volto e sui capelli sempre a sinistra e un ritocco irregolare al centro dell'arco di pietra. L'opera si presenta in buone condizioni. Painting on original canvas. From a first hand inspection dust's deposit is visible over the surface. The ultra violet light reveals light fluorescent varnish dishomogeneously spread over the surface, a tiny retouch over the foot and two more next to the narghilè on the left hand side, another one over the background next to the face on the left and over the hair, one more over the keystone. The overall condition as to the state of preservation is good.
