Woocut printed in ochre and black, 1898, inscribed n. 5 by the artist, (this impression cited by Kornfeld), one of approximately 30 impressions, this copy on tissue thin japan overlaid on a sheet of smooth wove paper with additional printing
Condition
With thread margins, in overall good condition apart from a flattened horizontal crease (inherent in the paper?) from top to bottom of the sheet at left, also visible in other impressions. A further softer vertical crease extending through image at left of centre of sheet. A small tear in the japan at lower right tip of sheet. A retouched areas at lower left tip of sheet, a few tiny nicks at extreme edges of sheet with associated slight lifting of the sheet of japan. Remains of hinges and adhesive along top edge of sheet verso.
