Anonymous sale ("The Property of a Lady"), London, Christie's, 11 December 1987, lot 151 for £26,400 (as Vanvitelli).

Condition

Both canvases have been relined. Both paint surfaces are secure and in good condition with passages of original impasto remaining under a dirty yellowed varnish. Inspection under UV light reveals a some minor scattered retouching works in each. Offered in matching gilt wood frames with a few minor losses.
