The pastel is in good condition. There is a small area of water-staining located at the lower left corner of the sheet. There is a very small amount of spidery mould which has formed on parts of the gentleman's coat. There is a small area of paper loss at the extreme right hand edge of the sheet and there is a small repaired tear at the upper right hand corner. All these defects are extremely minor.
