The original is a little less dark than the catalogue illustration.
The canvas has been relined.
The paint surface is generally in good condition under a very dirty, old varnish, with some surface residue.
The aforementioned varnish procludes thorough inspection under UV light, though some scattered retouchings do fluoresce.
Offered in an ornate carved and gilt wood frame, generally in good condition, with some knocks.
