Condition

The canvas has been relined. The paint surface is secure although somewhat abraded in the darker areas, and the blue of the Madonna's robe. Retouching work around the Christ child's legs is discernible to the naked eye, and this is confirmed under UV light, which also revels scattered retouching work elsewhere. Offered in an ornate gilt wood and plaster frame in fair condition with some losses.
