Condition

The stable support consists of two vertical panels, cradled to the reverse. The paint surface is secure, if a little thin, particularly in the background but otherwise in good condition, under an old somewhat yellowed varnish. Some minor scattered retouchings are visible to the naked eye in the green of the background and this is confirmed under UV light, which also reveals some minor retouching along the panel join and elsewhere. Offered in a gilt wood and plaster frame with some minor losses.
