Condition

The coloures are a little more vibrant in the original than they appear in the catalogue illustration. The stable support consists of two horizontal panels bevelled on all four edges. The paint surface is secure and in good condition if a little thin. Some very minor scattered old discoloured retouchings are visible to the naked eye along the left margin and these are confirmed under UV light which reveals other minor retouchings elsewhere. Offered in a gilt and black wooden frame, structurally sound if a little rubbed.
