STRUCTURE
The canvas has been lined.
PAINT SURFACE
The painting appears to be in good condition. The painting has been cleaned and there is come minor small visible retouching in the sky to the left of the composition.
ULTRAVIOLET
Examination under ultraviolet light reveals extensive retouching and infilling to craquelure in the sky, as well as strengthening to the lower section of the painting.
FRAME
Held in a gilt painted wooden frame.
