The canvas has a relatively firm lining.
PAINT SURFACE
The painting appears to be in good condition, and has been cleaned.
ULTRAVIOLET
Examination under ultraviolet light reveals a few minor scattered retouchings, mainly to the background. There is also evidence of an old tear in the sky to the upper right, measuring 2 in.

Held in a gilded wood frame.
