Condition
The canvas has an old relining which maintains its bounce, and has not overly flattened the paint surface.
The paint surface is dirty and under a discoloured varnish but the impasto is well preserved. No damages are visible to the naked eye.
Inspection under UV light reveals minor scattered retouchings which have discoloured a little.
Removal of the layer of varnish and light surface clean would greatly improve overall tonality.
Offered in a gilt wood frame with minor chips.
