  • oil on cradled panel, the frames with Latin inscriptions

Condition

Each on panel with a cradled backing. The first: with several vertical cracks, a 2 inch vertical patch of inpainting in the plume of a headdress at top center. Craquelure throughout. Scattered small losses on the figure at left and on St's figure. UV: Minor inpainting to address vertical cracks. Two spots in the upper right, two more in the crank of the wheel. A thin horizontal line to address a scratch on the face of figure at left. The second: vertical cracks at center right and right edge. Craquelure throughout. Several small losses on the figure of the saint. UV: one small spot one the calf of the saint.
