Catalogue Note
A la puissance du nkisi, dont les charges magiques sont contenues dans le renflement abdominal et au sommet de la tête, répond celle de la sculpture aux formes épannelées. Le long cou annelé et le visage sont caractéristiques de la statuaire des Songye orientaux, la face concave s'achevant par un large menton rectiligne. Patine sombre, légèrement suintante sur le visage.
