Catalogue Note
La monumentalité de ce masque tient tant de la puissance des traits que du talent avec lequel le sculpteur a architecturé la succession de leurs formes géométriques. A la dynamique cubiste des volumes jouant sur la juxtaposition des plans, la triangulation et l'accentuation des points de rupture, s'ajoute la dimension picturale des rehauts alternés de kaolin et d'ocre rouge - jusqu'à l'intérieur de la mâchoire articulée.
