Catalogue Note

A la préciosité offerte par la petite dimension et la finesse des modelés répond la puissance du visage aux traits concentrés, portant à sa quintessence l'expression de l'esthétique Guro / Bété. Le visage étroit, dominé par le très ample front bombé, se tend sous la nervure médiane s'étirant depuis l'extrémité de la coiffe - au motif tripartite caractéristique -, jusqu'à la naissance du nez court. La tension des formes est accentuée par le trait cinglant des scarifications et par la profonde patine brune, brillante.
