Provenance

This violin was originally part of a quartet commissioned from Pareschi by Emilio Rizzi, a well-known cellist and head of the Girolamo Frescobaldi Conservatory in Ferrara.  Rizzi's collection consisted of quartets made by most of the great 20th century makers from Ferrara and Bologna.
