Catalogue Note

Georg Rhau (1488-1548) is best known as a music printer, but he was in fact also a composer; he was appointed Kantor at the Thomaskirche in Leipzig in 1518.  This edition from his lifetime contains finely-printed woodcut music and musical examples.
