Catalogue Note

The programme shows that Prokofiev was playing his Third Piano Concerto with the Orchestre Symphonique de Bruxelles, under Désiré Defauw.  The artist has annotated the programme, explaining that the "première exécution" of the Suite from Egyptian Nights Op.61 ("Nuits d'Egypte") was given in place of the advertised "Classical" Symphony.
