Description

  • Autograph letter signed ("Yrjö Kilpinen"), in German, to Dr. Tischer
  • Paper
about Finland and the Lappo Movement, regretting that he was not able to visit Finland this summer, discussing political and aesthetic matters, stating that the country was living through an ethically strong period, observing how godless materialism as well as the aesthetically superficial was vanishing like smoke when people were offered true ethical values, noting that the Lappo Movement was purely ethical in nature, a reaction against areligious-materialistic communism; he also asks him if he might send him a selection of Unger editions from his publishing house, comments that, as a composer of lieder, it gives him great pleasure to see how many song compositions he has published ("Es war übrigens mir als Liederkomponist eine grosse Freude aus Ihrem Katalog zu sehen wie kolossal viele Lieder Sie verlegt haben..."), and hopes that his efforts will be rewarded not only with inner satisfaction but also external success, 4 pages, 4to (28.3 x 22.5cm), Helsinki, 16 August 1930
