Description

  • Autograph manuscript of "Départ, Scène", for tenor voice and piano, signed ("Léo D."), at the end, setting the poem by Émile Augier ("Je veux oublier"),
  • ink on paper
written in dark brown ink on five three-stave systems, the final bars for piano on a sixth system, a working manuscript with many important deletions and revisions by the composer in ink and blue crayon, the Stichvorlage, marked by and for the printer in pencil, apparently dated at the end in blue crayon "1867", 7 pages, folio (c.36 x 27cms, 20-stave paper, original stitching, [possibly 1867]
