Catalogue Note
Duranti's guide to liturgical customs and ceremonies, written in 1286, became an incunabular bestseller; it was first printed by Fust and Schoeffer in 1459 and frequently reprinted thereafter. The editor, a lawyer from Milan, first edited the text for Georgius Lauer in Rome in 1477. Although a popular work, we have been unable to trace a copy of this particular edition offered at auction in the last thirty years.
