Catalogue Note
Koberger's first Latin Bible. Unlike later editions he produced, this edition contains the complete text of the Bible but without any preliminary or supplementary material, commentaries or tables. Koberger began his printing career in Nuremberg in 1470, the year that printing began in that city, and became the biggest printing entrepreneur of his day, dominating publishing in Nuremberg and elsewhere.
