Catalogue Note
These are all award-winning composers, born abroad with but their careers centred in Britain: Simaku was a British Composers Award winner last year; Hilda Paredes, born in Mexico, has lived in London since 1979. Paredes's score is divided into "obbligato'" and "alterrnative" sections, where the violinist has the chance to choose either passages marked "A" or "Aa"; "C" or"Cc" (this section quite extended); and "F" or "Ff".
