Catalogue Note

Pramuhendra reinterprets the meaning of the Last Supper by representing himself as the avatar for the present generation. He invites viewers to reflect upon the character of each of the thirteen figures, as an effort to redefine the context in which Bibilical values are placed. Self portraits emerge as a proxy of the human mind... For Pramuhendra, religious life was the focal starting point. It is not only about taking a moment from daily life merely to execute those values as a formal dogma or a routine ritual, but also to develop it into a more personal and constructive meaning.
