Condition
The painting and the canvas are both in good condition, with the latter being clear and taut. Examination under ultraviolet light reveals some spots of retouchings around the edges, with a majority on the right edge, and some scattered small spots in the middle, which are visible only with UV light. The paint layers are intact.
The palette of the actual painting is slightly more muted and less yellow than that of the catalogue illustration.
