ouvrant à un tiroir, le plateau en marqueterie d'écaille brune et laiton à décor d'arabesques, lambrequins et volutes dans le goût de Bérain, reposant sur quatre pieds en gaine ; ornementation de bronze doré, frise d'entrelacs et guirlandes de fleurs

Condition
The illustration is quite accurate.
Overall condition is fine. They have been were restored in the past and are now in good restored condition.
Attractive model, chic and lightly decorative.
Good quality and condition of the marquetery tops, both in "première partie". The giltbronze mounts in good condition, slightly stained and dirty in places. Struture is solid.
On each table (just under the frieze of the top) a brass filet is lifting and needs to be refixed.
As said pretty and fine tables.

Ce type de mobilier est une illustration parfaite du "Boulle revival" qui a remis au goût du jour, vers 1840, les meubles en marqueterie Boulle comme avaient pu le faire les ébénistes Montigny ou Levasseur sous le règne de Louis XVI. Cette table avec cette frise d'entrelacs en ceinture est à rapprocher d'une table estampillée Bernard Molitor reproduite dans U. Leben, Ebéniste de Louis XVI à Louis XVIII, Londres, 1992, n° 15, p. 201
