The oval ruby measuring approximately 10.1 by 7.4 by 4.62 mm., the mounting set with round, single-cut and baguette diamonds, size 6.
Condition
Ruby of medium-deep, slightly purplish red of moderate saturation, with moderate to heavy eye-visible inclusions. The pavilion with some minor surface-reaching feathers, the crown maintaining a fine polish. Diamonds are approximately H-I color, VS clarity. The foliate engraving to the shoulders softened with wear. Though not immediately apparent, one of the shoulders appears to have been repaired and bears eye-visible porosity to the metal. The repaired shoulder is similar in style, but not an exact match, to the other. Detail images available upon request.. In overall fair condition.

Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 42987 stating origin: Afghanistan, heat enhancement: none; the report further comments that non-heated rubies are scarce. Rubies are commonly heated to modify their color and appearance.
