Description
- Van Cleef & Arpels
- platinum, cultured pearl, diamond, brooch
The stylized bow supporting a fringe accented by diamond tassels, set throughout with cultured pearls measuring approximately 7.4 to 2.9 mm., and round, single-cut and baguette diamonds weighing approximately 6.50 carats, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered N.Y. 14437.
Condition
Good condition; the tassels with nice movement. One small pearl missing from the surmount, but this is seen only from the reverse and upon very close inspection. Minor evidence of soldering to the reverse of the surmount. Set with a total of 97 cultured pearls, 209 round and single-cut diamonds and 40 baguette diamonds. The pearls to the surmount present a slightly silvery white body color with varying degrees of pink, blue and green overtones; the pearls to the pendants have a somewhat more creamy white body color with soft pink and green overtones. All with good luster and no apparent blemishing. The diamonds are approximately F-H color, VVS-VS clarity.
