The circular dial with Roman numerals, cabochon emerald crystal measuring approximately 17.5 mm., framed by old European-cut diamonds, the bracelet set with old European-cut, single-cut and rose-cut diamonds, the total diamond weight approximately 8.75 carats, manual movement, internal circumference 7 inches, expandable, dial signed Cartier, caseback with indistinct numbering, French assay mark, movement signed European Clock & Watch Co. Inc., numbered 20818.

Condition

Set with 27 old European-cut, 198 single-cut and a rose-cut diamonds approximately I-J color and VS clarity. The manual movement signed 19 jewels, 8 adj, serial number 20818. Movement size 8L, under dridge ratchet wheel, 5 bridge movement design, breguet blued steel hairspring, cut bimetalic balance, rhodiumed movement. It is in running condition, but will need servicing. There has been moisture within the watch at some point, due to a poorly sealed emerald crystal. Dial has had some restoration work done previously. The emerald crystal has some scratching and abrasions to the surface, and shows some internal cleavages which reach the surface in several places. Numerous eye-visible inclusions. The bracelet links have lost some elasticity. The case and bracelet are in good condition overall. Please see the Important Notice Regarding the Condition of Watches on page 240 of the catalogue.
