The rectangular case with a heart set with old European-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.65 carats, and round synthetic rubies, the interior fitted with a lighter, glazed compartment, removeable powder and rouge box, lipstick case missing, beveled mirror, gross weight approximately 397 dwts., measuring approximately 6 by 4½ by ¾ inches. Accompanied by a black silk carrier.
Condition
The gold in good condition with very light dimpling to lid base and one side panel. Box tests as 14K but no apparent marks. Interior with scratching and minor discoloration. Mirror in good condition. Comb header, lighter and removable compact stamped 14K. The comb's teeth have become detached and is in two halves, with a couple teeth missing. Base of lipstick case remains in case, but the body of the case is missing. Diamonds are approximately G-I color, VS-SI clarity. The synthetic rubies are a lively medium red. Carrier lined in ecru silk charmeuse.
