Description

  • RUBY, DIAMOND, WHITE GOLD
Centring on a cushion-shaped ruby weighing 11.09 carats, surrounded by rose-cut cushion-shaped and circular-cut diamonds, pavé-set by brilliant-cut diamonds to the support extending to the triple-split shank, the diamonds together weighing approximately 5.00 carats, mounted in 18 karat white gold.

Condition

Colour and Clarity: According to GRS report, the ruby is natural, of Burmese origin, with no indication of thermal treatment. Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, the ruby is strong red colour, moderately included to naked eyes. Upon 10x loupe, there are some natural crystals and surface-reaching fingerprints. Diamonds in the surround are about H to I colours, VS to SI clarity. Condition: Elegant ring mount, in very good condition.
In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report. Prospective buyers should inspect each lot to satisfy themselves as to condition and must understand that any statement made by Sotheby's is merely a subjective qualified opinion. Illustrations in the catalogue may not be actual size. Prospective purchasers are reminded that, unless the catalogue description specifically states that a stone is natural, we have assumed that some form of treatment may have been used and that such treatment may not be permanent. Our presale estimates reflect this assumption.
NOTWITHSTANDING THIS REPORT OR ANY DISCUSSIONS CONCERNING CONDITION OF A LOT, ALL LOTS ARE OFFERED AND SOLD "AS IS" IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONDITIONS OF SALE PRINTED IN THE CATALOGUE.
