MULTI-COLOURED SAPPHIRE, CORAL AND DIAMOND 'PHOENIX' BROOCH

The body set with an inverted pear-shaped coral measuring approximately 23.56 x 15.45 x 8.68mm, inset with an oval diamond weighing approximately 0.70 carat, the appendages encrusted with brilliant-cut diamonds, highlighted by an oval carnelian chalcedony-set head and diamond-set eye, feathers decorated with circular-cut yellow sapphires, the tail set with rose-cut coloured sapphires of pink, blue, yellow, purple, orange and green hues, the sapphires and diamonds together weighing approximately 20.35 and 3.20 carats respectively, mounted in 18 karat white and yellow gold.

 

Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the oval diamonds set in the body is about J to K colours, SI2 to I1 clarity. Other small diamonds are about G to H colours, VS clarity. Yellow sapphires set on the wing is of deep to strong saturation, eye clean. Other fancy sapphires on the tail are of varied hues, including medium light blue, medium light purple, strong yellow and orangy yellow, purple pink and medium light yellowish green, generally eye clean. Condition: Fine workmanship, in mint condition.
