- ENAMEL, TIGER'S-EYE QUARTZ, DIAMOND, EMERALD, WHITE AND YELLOW GOLD
Comprising: the first brooch modelled as a lady bug, the wings decorated with enamel in blue and yellow colour, embellished by brilliant-cut diamonds, signed Tiffany & Co., the second brooch modelled as a honeybee, body and head set with tiger's-eye quartz and black chalcedony, wings decorated with brilliant-cut diamonds, accented by emerald-set eyes, signed Van Cleef & Arpels. Condition
Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the small round diamonds on the 'lady bug' brooch are E to F colours, VS clarity. Signed to the reverse. Diamonds on the tiger's-eye 'fly' brooch are about F to G colours, VS clarity. Two tiny cabochon emeralds are of intense green colour. Signed to the wing.
Condition: These two adorable brooches are offered without reserve. Lady bug brooch - slight discolouration to the metal on its back, not seen to the obverse. Enamel is intact, in very good condition. Fly brooch - minor nicks and abrasions at the junctions in-between the tiger's-eye and onyx layers, only observed under very close check or 10x loupe. Normal signs of wear to the metal. Overall, both are in good condition.
