- NATURAL PEARL, DIAMOND, PLATINUM
The stylised ribbon brooch centring on a semi-baroque natural pearl measuring approximately 14.31 x 14.18mm, decorated throughout with old European-cut diamonds, the diamonds together weighing approximately 11.50 carats, mounted in platinum, circa 1905.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to GIA report, the pearl is natural, saltwater pearl, with no indication of treatment. Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, the pearl is semi-baroque, button shape, of white colour with noticeable rosè overtone and very good lustre. The two largest diamonds hanging from the tassel weigh approximately 2.00 carats each, and the second largest diamonds hanging next to them are about 1.00 carat each. The diamonds are mostly about J to K colours, VS2 to SI clarity, lively stones.
Condition: Brooch fitting is detachable, that the pearl and diamond jewellery piece was probably the pendant of an antique necklace, circa 1905, has been professionally restored, overall in very good condition.
