Description
Of palmette and scroll filigree design, set with circular- and step-cut diamonds, variously-cut emeralds and pink tourmalines, suspending a fringe of similar stones connected by baroque seed pearls, the surmount set with step-cut emeralds and oval rubies, unsigned, French assay and maker's marks.
Condition
Ruby of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece may contain ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin will be required before import of jadeite or ruby into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information.
Stamped with French assay for gold, maker's marks and numbered N6790. Coloured stones well matched in colour, with typical crystal inclusions (some reaching surface), some visible to the naked eye. Seed pearls of white to silvery white body colour, with various tints of gray, rosé and green overtones, overgrowth marks and blemishes, medium lustre. Diamonds bright and lively, one stone deficient. Some tarnish and scratches to the metal, consistent with age and wear. In good condition.
