Gem-set and diamond brooch and a ring

The brooch of stylised scroll design decorated with pear-shaped sapphires, circular-cut rubies, cabochon emeralds and brilliant-cut diamonds, the ring of dome design set with a cabochon emerald within a surround of circular-cut emeralds, rubies, sapphires and diamonds, size 50, indistinct French assay and maker's marks.

Ruby of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece may contain ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Brooch stamped 750 for gold and Pt 950 for platinum. Ring stamped 750 for gold, French assay marks for gold. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 14.00 carats in total, generally G-I colour (a few J), VS-SI clarity. Coloured stones on brooch and ring with typical crystal inclusions, some surface reaching, nicks and some abrasion to facet edges. Central ruby on brooch with surface reaching inclusions. Signs of normal wear, scratches to metal consistent with use. In good condition.
